I'M BaaaAaack...

Welcome to Flamin' Hot Capybaras Deux, the continuation of my other Aice Media blog. Here I will share my journey as I produce [YET ANOTHER] portfolio project under quarantine (Yay). 

It is so weird to think that I completed my AS portfolio project when quarentine just started and I basically haven't left my house since then! A year later and we are doing it all over again 🤯.

I am still not entirely sure what I want to make, I an not really interested in the trailer package, so it is really a choice between the short film, music video, and documentary. Of course I want to be creative and challenge myself, but I also recognize that the only actors at my disposal are my mother and two sisters and that my locations are very limited.

To help me make my decision I have made a PROs/CONs List

Short Film		Music Video		Documentary
Pros: -Cool creative challenge -Artistic freedom -Something new to try	Cons: -No experience -Requires speaking actors -Technically challenging	Pros: -Some experience -Artistic freedom/Fun -I have a couple of songs in mind that I could ask for permission	Cons: -Not many locations at my disposal -Requires props and more elaborate costumes -I need to become a pro at editing	Pros: -Some expereince -Research based -I already have some ideas from when we did the project	Cons: -No actors -Interviews with experts would have to be over zoom -Good interviewees are hard to find

I am still not sure since they are all mostly even- I am leaning towards the music video option though! I'll give it some thought and get back to you as soon as I make a decision. I need to make sure I don't make my ideas too big and that I am creative yet practical.
